Murphy noted that ASDI has long warned of the dangers posed by the Iranian Embassy and the IRGC. “For more than a decade, our organisation has raised concerns about the threats these institutions pose. While ASDI welcoming the decision 0f closure of Iranian Embassy in Canberra, ASDI also called for further measures, stressing that “the listing of the IRGC as a terrorist organisation is now an urgent priority. This will require legislative amendment, and we call on the Albanese Government to act without delay.”
